Return to one of the earlier cycles of content for The Lord of the Rings LCG with the Angmar Awakened Hero Expansion and Angmar Awakened Campaign Expansion. These two products combine all of the content from The Lost Realm and the corresponding Angmar Awakened cycle. All of the player cards from those expansions can be found in the Hero Expansion while all the scenario-related cards can be found in the Campaign Expansion, along with some new campaign cards that weren’t part of the original release. This is the perfect opportunity for new fans of the game to experience this cycle of content, and for longtime fans to catch up on any parts they may have missed. Whether you want just one of the expansions or both, no fan of the game will want to miss Angmar Awakened! A majority of the hero cards pertain specifically to Dunedain and elves, so if you enjoy using those heroes and you’d like to buff them, this could be a great expansion for you to snag. Ents make an appearance as allies here as well, and they are quite powerful, but you have to plan ahead because they enter play exhausted. That’s right, in this campaign, each player gets their very own ship to control! These powerful objective cards can provide much-needed boons during your sea voyage, including a means of fighting off enemy ships. In addition to the titular Dream-chaser Dream-chaser CE, 136), which is required in each playthrough, players can choose to sail the Dawn Star Dream-chaser CE, 137), the Duskbringer Dream-chaser CE, 138), the Glórinaith Dream-chaser CE, 139), the Nárelenya Dream-chaser CE, 140), or the Silver Wing Dream-chaser CE, 141). That’s six ships in total; two more than the original release!

Now, in The Wastes of Eriador, several of Middle-earth’s heroes must join forces with the noble Dúnedain who have long guarded the region’s simpler folk from the untold evils that still reside within Carn Dûm and its environs. Following immediately upon the heels of the epic events that unfold in The Lost Realm deluxe expansion, the scenario from The Wastes of Eriador tasks you to rescue a captive Ranger. However, as you pursue the enemies who have captured him, your trail leads you ever northward, ever deeper into the hills of Angmar. There, as day fades into night, the howling of wolves suggest that your party of hunters may soon become the hunted…The western lands of Eriador have long remained peaceful under the vigilance of the Rangers of the North. Yet no grave can contain the evil forces of Angmar which lurk in wild and ancient places, stretching the valorous Dúnedain rangers far and thin in their duty to protect the land. With the awakening of this evil, it is up to a group of brave heroes to face the dire force head-on and protect Middle-earth from its shadow. In September of 2021, we revealed the Revised Core Set for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game in our Gen Con 2021 In-Flight Report. This game is FFG’s longest-running card game, and even though there were no “new” expansions on the horizon, we still wanted to support the LCG and provide opportunities for new players to finally take the plunge. Return to the game’s epic seafaring saga with the Dream-chaser Hero Expansion and Dream-chaser Campaign Expansion. These products combine all of the content from The Grey Havens and the corresponding Dream-chaser cycle; all of the player cards from those expansions can be found in the Hero Expansion, while all of the scenario-related cards can be found in the Campaign Expansion, along with some brand-new campaign cards that weren’t part of the original release. This is the perfect opportunity for new fans of the game to experience this cycle of content, and for longtime fans to catch up on any parts they may have missed. Whether you want one expansion or both, no fan of the game will want to miss the Dream-chaser experience!

For millennia, the Elves of the Grey Havens have built beautiful, majestic white ships to sail into the West. No one knows the seas as well as they, but these Noldor sailors and navigators must remain ever vigilant. A storm is brewing on the horizon, and something foul awaits on a forgotten isle of Númenor. Following are some Spoilers for the end of the Campaigns from the core set and Dark of Mirkwood expansion, together called the "Mirkwood Paths" campaign) Unlike Secrecy cards, which benefit you when your threat is twenty or less, Valour cards benefit you when your threat is forty or higher. This is typically later in the game, when you have already built up your strength and resources aren’t quite as much of an issue. So instead of offering effects at a discounted cost, these cards offer powerful effects that can only be triggered when your threat is forty or higher. The Rangers of the North have long guarded the region’s simpler folk from the dangers that roam the wilds. Now, one of their number has been captured, and his captors are dragging him deep into the hills of Angmar. Will you aid the noble Dúnedain? Will you brave the The Wastes of Eriador? For over a decade, The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game has brought players around the world on countless adventures through the fantastical realm of Middle-earth. Just one year ago, we released the Revised Core Set for this legendary game, allowing a wave of newcomers to join the veteran players of Fantasy Flight Games’ first cooperative Living Card Game.Tyler Parrott (the designer) clarified that the #2 effect that says "do not adjust the Campaign Pool for your next campaign" simply means that you do not add Mendor to your Campaign pool, and you do not get to carry anything over into the next campaign. It does NOT mean (as I thought previously) that you get to take everything in your campaign pool after the Mirkwood Paths campaign into your next campaign. But always I have let my horn cry at setting forth, and though thereafter we may walk in the shadows, I will not go forth as a thief in the night.” The new ships aren’t the only things unique to this expansion. You’ll also find a plethora of new campaign cards, including upgrades for your ships, such as Armor Plating Dream-chaser CE, 172) or a Ballista Dream-chaser CE, 173). However, you can also upgrade the ships themselves, flipping them over to their stronger versions! First, the heroes. The new heroes are: Dori and Aragorn (tactics), Arwen and Merry (Spirit), Halbarad and Amarthiul (leadership), and Erestor and Rossiel (lore). The more interesting cards in this expansion largely focus on mechanics specific to the campaign (bonuses for lots of engaged enemies, side quests players can add which often grant boons when completed etc.). With treachery afoot and the forces of Angmar on the move, only you and your fellow heroes can aid the Dúnedain in keeping the darkness at bay. Whether you missed the original version of the Angmar Awakened cycle or are just now getting into The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, you can look forward to adding the Angmar Awakened Hero Expansion and the Angmar Awakened Campaign Expansion to your collection when both products release this summer!

Each campaign is its own self-contained experience. The boons, burdens, and other modifications earned in a campaign do not carry over into other games or campaigns, unless explicitly stated by a card ability (such as the Resolution effect on the Campaign Card for Escape from Dol Guldur)." For nearly seven-hundred years, the Witch-king of Angmar terrorized the North from his home in Carn Dûm. Though his forces were eventually defeated, the shadows of the Witch-king’s evil have lain across the lands through all the centuries that followed his departure from the region. The Angmar Awakened campaign is quite difficult, but new players might miss that it's possible to carry over boons from the Mirkwood Paths campaign into your "next" campaign. I'm convinced the designers intended for players to use this to make the Angmar Awakened campaign easier and more approachable.
