About this deal

Look wise, the bunker certainly does its original proud, especially the sunken entrance and sliding main door.

The bikes are identical, and are based off a brown three-wheeler frame; they also have a megaphone blaster on one side, presumably as a nod to the Endor chase scene. While the frown-faced commando looks generic, I did manage to locate his counterpart in the movie scene. There are three different distributions of parts in this set: bags one (the catapult, minifigures, glider, and speederbikes), bags two (the AT-ST), and bags three (the bunker). We are now finished with the first two bags, so we start our next two with the AT-ST walker Version 3. The bearded rebel is new, the one without facial hair is a recycled Starkiller from 7672 Rogue Shadow. The glider actually requires a minifigure to be connecting it to the stand- it seems like they could have found a way to go around that.

In the movie, Paploo was responsible for dislodging the Biker Scout Trooper from his bike and Wicket was the mastermind behind flying the glider. The set that was released in 2007 was perfect, I think, and it would be so much nicer if than one was included instead of this smaller and uglier one.

Inside, there's a seat for one, and a handle so that one may pose minifigs with their heads sticking out of the hatch. The doors open and close independently, unlike the Seperatist Shuttle doors- however, they could be modified to move simultaneously, and I expect to shortly.Underneath these buttons are is an elaborated spring mechanism, which helps to eject the wall panels in different directions when the buttons are pushed.

It includes a star-studded cast of characters including Han Solo, Princess Leia, and Chewbacca who have to try and destroy the imperial bunker with the help of Ewoks Wicket, Chief Chirpa, and Paploo. And the light weight armory of the Ewoks vs the laser blasting Troopers always remind me of the battle between David and the Goliath. Packed with 12 minifigures: Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, R2-D2 (classic deco), 2 Rebel commandos, 2 scout troopers, Death Star Trooper, and 3 Ewoks!

I believe that the torsos are exclusive to this set, and I haven't seen the head of the guy on the left anywhere, so I assume that it's new. Han is the same as always, and Chewbacca as well; however, the last three Chewbaccas I received had no eye-printing- that's the results of a marker, there. I spent too long with them today, and I'll give them another go, but at the moment it seems they made a design failure, or I'm retarded. With sliding blast doors and an explosion function, the opening bunker crafted with this LEGO Star Wars brickset is as real as it can get.
