I’m towards the end of my pumping journey with my second kid, and this is seriously my favorite pump (I’ve tried at least 6 different ones including the more mainstream) and I wish more people knew about Ardo pumps!

I have spoken to some IBCLCs who need this sort of power and lengthy pump sessions to respond well. This is just a really innovative and well thought out pump. Ardo definitely did their research when creating Alyssa. I HIGHLY recommend this pump to any mom that frequently power pumps, is wanting to establish or increase their supply, or just wants to own, in my opinion, the most advanced pump on the current market. When you press the button with the droplets on it (3 on top, 2 underneath) it changes to expression mode, signaled by 2 droplets. Adjust settings Ardo makes great products with Moms in mind! This pump is small (about the same size as a kiinde twist pouch) and has a rechargeable battery that lasts a long time. I think I only charge it once or twice a week with 2 to 3 pump sessions a day. The battery makes it perfect for pumping at work or home. The charger uses a standard usb c connection and wall adaper with a reasonable length of cable. The pump also has a convenient cover for the charging port.The Alyssa could be a great option for occasional or less frequent pumpers. It could also work reasonably well for those who use more gentle suction. What features does the Ardo Alyssa have? Power pumping is a method recommended by health care experts to increase the amount of milk and to stabilize fluctuating amounts of milk.

Also, on a side note, the clear aesthetic makes it so satisfying to watch your milk flow into the bottles. I learned so much more about my let-downs (plural!) during pumping than I knew before. I would highly recommend this pump. Ardo doesn’t really love the idea of you using different third party parts with their pump, although I had to do this as I use 15mm flanges. I did trial their parts first. I think the think I really appreciate is that it seems like it was made with moms in mind using new technology. If you aren’t looking into power pumping you can simply switch to your regular pumping preference, with eight different vaccum and cycle levels! there’s a slight learning curve if you’ve never used an Ardo pump, but the manual and tips are super helpful! Just remember that you need to press and hold over the buttons to turn them on/off comfortable? I don’t know if I can ever say pumping is comfortable, but I only use it at a 3-4 level (out of 8) vacuum level and I’m never sore. Part of that has to do with the ability to customize suction and frequency separately
